The effect of temperature (T) on estimated soil water content ({theta}), quantified by d{theta}/dT, as a function of {varepsilon}r25'' (imaginary component of relative complex permittivity measured at 25°C). Although there is considerable scatter about this relationship, especially for relatively low values of {varepsilon}r25'', it is clear that positive temperature effects are associated with high {varepsilon}r25'' values.
